The warranty exists to protect you if something was wrong with the screen when it left the factory. It does not act as insurance against storms, accidents, or damage caused by someone else. For those situations, your homeowner's policy may apply, and we can replace a damaged screen panel or part as a paid repair.
Contact Atlanta Motorized Screens first. As your authorized MagnaTrack dealer, we open the claim with the manufacturer and coordinate the approved repair or replacement. You can also reach Progressive Screens directly at 866.802.0400, but approved warranty work is always carried out through an authorized dealer, so starting with us is the shortest path.
Most of the exclusions above come down to a few habits:
It depends on the component. Aluminum is covered for 15 years, standard screen material for 10 years, motors for 5 years, remotes and other electronics for 2 years, and vinyl welding and stitching for 1 year, all from the purchase date.
No. The manufacturer's limited warranty has defined coverage periods for each component, listed above. Always refer to the official warranty document rather than marketing summaries.
No. Coverage extends only to the original purchaser and does not transfer to subsequent owners.
Yes, electrical motors are covered for 5 years against defects in materials and workmanship. Water or moisture damage from negligent exposure is excluded.
Yes, for 2 years. They fall under electrical components other than motors.
No. Damage from storms, falling trees, hail, wind, or flying debris is considered an act of God and is excluded. These are not manufacturer defects.
Damage caused by a person or pet, such as a cut or torn screen, is not covered. The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship, not accidental damage after installation. We can repair or replace the affected panel as a paid service.

No. Chalking, oxidation, fading, and discoloration from weather exposure over time are specifically excluded.
The manufacturer pays to ship the repaired or replacement product back to you. Removal and reinstallation costs are not covered under the manufacturer's warranty.
